Lineage

Widely recognized as one of Tibet's greatest masters, Dudjom Rinpoche (1904-1987) was the head of the Nyingma lineage of Vajrayana Buddhism. Widely recognized as an emanation of many important masters, including Guru Rinpoche, Dudjom Rinpoche was also revered for his intelligence, wisdom, and artistry. His scriptural legacy alone includes more than forty volumes of sutra and tantra as well as his own newly revealed Dharma Treasures, which contain the innermost essence of the Buddha's 84,000 teachings.

In the New Treasures of Dudjom, there is a cycle called mKha dro snying thig which was revealed by Dudjom Lingpa, Dudjom Rinpoche's immediate predecessor, and another cycle mKha dro thug thig which is the mind treasure of Dudjom Rinpoche himself. Both Tibetan titles can be translated as Dakini Heart Essence, however Jnanasukha is rooted in the mKha dro thug thig.

In 1929, responding to a wisdom dakini's request communicated to him through an intermediary, Dudjom Rinpoche began to compose a brief dakini sadhana. At that moment, to his surprise, the mKha dro thug thig root verses emerged in his wisdom mind. When this work was eventually completed over a period of years, it amounted to 550 pages which is now published as volume ma (16) of the Collected Works of Dudjom.

This cycle, the core of Jnanasukha's mission, contains clear and concise instructions and liturgies for the entire range of Vajrayana practices based on the dakini principle. They include foundational practices, yidam practices, enlightened activity practices, fire rituals, many tantric ceremonies, yogic trainings, and the ultimate paths of Great Perfection, Cutting Through and Leaping Over.

Refuge

NAMO. In self-existing awareness as the Wisdom Dakini, I take refuge beyond coming together and separation.

Awakening Mind

The confused mind of unrealized beings clings to duality. I arouse the awakened mind of great natural liberation.
